The Rally Manual

How to use Rally, from installing it on your Mac to running Sidekicks across your whole Organization.

Rally is a place where you, your teammates and an AI agent work on the same thing in the same conversation. You ask for something in plain words, the agent goes and does it (reads your documents, searches the web, drafts the email, files the issue, builds the spreadsheet), and everyone in the room can see what it did and why.

This book is laid out the way computer manuals used to be: chapters, in order, each one assuming you have read the one before. Chapter 1 gets Rally installed on your Mac and your first conversation going. The middle of the book covers working in a Channel, keeping your work in order, what the agent can do, and connecting it to the tools your team already uses. The later chapters are about Sidekicks (helpers that run while you are busy elsewhere), using Rally from Slack, email and your iPhone, settings, running an Organization, and privacy. The last chapter is for when something goes wrong, and ends with a glossary.

It reads front to back, but nobody will judge you for skipping straight to the chapter you need. Pages point back to whatever they build on, so you can always find your way to the explanation you skipped.

If you have only just downloaded Rally, start with Getting started. If someone shared a single conversation with you and you are using Rally in a web browser, Rally in a web browser is the page for you.

Every page of this manual is also published as plain Markdown, and llms.txt lists them all, so you can hand the whole book to your own AI tools and ask them questions about Rally. It seemed only fair.

When the book does not have the answer, a person does. Write to help@rallywith.ai and someone who works on Rally will reply. Contacting support says what to include so the first reply is the useful one.
