# Canva

> Let Rally find, create, edit and export your Canva designs and handle their comments.

Connect your Canva account and Rally can work on your slides and graphics with you. It will not replace a designer, but it is good at "make three versions of this banner by lunch".

## What Rally can do

Using your own Canva account, Rally can:

- find your designs
- create new designs
- edit designs
- export designs
- read comments on a design and post new ones

Canva decides which of these your Canva plan allows. Some actions may run into a plan limit or use up Canva's generation credits. When that happens, Rally tells you what Canva said.

## Connecting

Canva is personal only, and any member can connect it.

1. Open **Settings → Connections** and find the **Canva** card.
2. Hover over **Connect for me** and read the note. Connecting lets Rally read and change your Canva designs, folders, assets and brand kit. Canva receives a brief description of each thing Rally asks it to do. Watches are off until you turn them on.
3. Click **Connect for me**.
4. Sign in to Canva in your browser and approve access. Keep Rally open until the browser says it worked.
5. Come back to Rally. The card says **Connected**.

If the Canva card says **Unavailable**, Canva is not set up in your Organization's Rally region, and there is nothing to fix from your side.

## Watching a design

Connecting does not start watching anything. Rally has the groundwork for watching a design for changes, but the switch for it is not in the Mac app today (see [Resources: things you bring in](https://rallywith.ai/help/things-rally-makes/resources.md#bringing-things-in-yourself)). When it arrives, a watch covers one design at a time, and not every single edit is guaranteed to produce a notice.

## Things to try

- "Find the Q3 sales deck in Canva and export it as a PDF."
- "Make a square social post announcing the webinar on the 14th, in our brand colours."
- "Read the comments on the conference banner and summarise what people want changed."

## When it stops working

If Rally asks you to reconnect, or the row in **Settings → Connections** says **Reconnect required**, click **Refresh** and sign in to Canva again. **Delete** the connection to stop Rally using it, along with any watches that depend on it.

If you contact support, send the time and the error you saw. Never send sign-in codes or private Canva share links.
